"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is only few months away from its scheduled release date and rumours and speculations continue to flood the internet. The most shocking plot detail from upcoming Marvel movie was recently revealed by director Joss Whedon.

Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans starrer "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is speculated to feature death of a popular and well-loved Marvel character. According to Movie Pilot, when Joss Whedon was asked "what to expect from 'Avengers 2,'" the director jokingly said "Death, Death and Death."

The news has led to a frenzy of speculations. Several media outlets are now contemplating which character will push up daisies. Based on the several promotional photos showing crack in Captain America's shield, the abovementioned website suggest it could be Steve Rogers.

"There is nothing ominous about that, were it not for one key factor - the near indestructible shield was broken, cracked into pieces," the report notes.

Another possible scenario suggested by the website is Hulk and Iron Man's battle resulting in Bruce Banner's death. Furthermore, Black Widow's lack of "any real powers" makes her more susceptible to Ultron's attack.

Adding to the list of possible scenarios, the website also suggests that Joss Whedon's may be referring to Thanos' appearance in one of the "Avengers" sequel.

"As a boy Thanos was a pacifist, but then he became obsessed with Nihilism and death, falling in love with its physical embodiment, Mistress Death. When he grew older and started a family, Mistress Death visited him again, provoking him to murder his family in the hope of pleasing her," the article states.

Meanwhile, ComicBookMovie has also presented their theories. Speculating which "Avenger" character could be the next one to be written off from Marvel Cinematic Universe, the publication suggests eight possible victims including Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Nick Fury and more.
