In his latest interview, actor Mark Ruffalo dished out plot details about “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The 47-year-old actor talked about his character The Hulk/Bruce Banner’s role in the highly anticipated Marvel’s superhero team-up and addressed the rumours about a standalone movie.

In an interview with Empire, Mark Ruffalo admitted that his green-skinned superhero is sort of a “wild card” in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” He describes The Hulk as the “loose cannon of the group” and “an atom bomb.” According to Mark Ruffalo, no matter how much Banner tries to take control of his anger and rage, there comes a day when things go wrong. For this, Banner has devised a “contingency plan.”

The actor, who was first seen as The Hulk in 2012’s “The Avengers,” revealed that his character continues to fight the war between his two alter egos. “There’s a moment in here where he, begrudgingly, decides to go back to Banner," Mark Ruffalo said. "Hulk, going into The Hulk and being inside the Hulk when he’s raging, The Hulk’s will is also growing and able to impress upon Bruce. That makes for some wild things," the actor added.

According to Mark Ruffalo, fans can expect to see “a bit more matured” Hulk in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The character has reportedly become accustomed to the team of “Avengers” and he now feels the part of it. As for his solo movie, Mark Ruffalo said that it’s tough and Marvel has already laid down their plan for the next phase. Considering the studio has already done two Hulk movies in the past, it seems they are now interested in other characters.

Prior to Mark Ruffalo, Empire spoke to actor Robert Downey Jr. for their new issue of the magazine. The actor, who has played Iron Man in more than three Marvel movies, talked about his character Tony Stark and his role in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The actor also talked about his position in “Captain America: Civil War” and said the movie focuses on Chris Evans’ character Steve Roger and not Iron Man.
