Many characters fell victim to that snap by Thanos (Josh Brolin), and the full extent of the damage will only be known in “Avengers 4.” Many of these deaths happened off-screen, so it isn’t clear who all have survived at the moment. One such character is Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson).

Valkyrie was on that ship with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the others when Thanos attacked in “Infinity War.” It has already been revealed that some of the characters on the ship escaped before the attack began, while the God of Thunder and a few fought the Mad Titan. It isn’t clear who all escaped and who died on the ship, but now Thompson has confirmed that her character survived.

Replying to a fan question on Twitter [see below], Thompson said that her character is in “one piece,” suggesting that she escaped. The actress also added that her character is “THRIVING,” but she didn’t reveal where.

Did she lead the others to the planet Sakaar? With Asgard destroyed there aren’t many places they can go to. Valkyrie is very familiar with the planet Sakaar, making it a good place to go and get help from the gladiators there. The other possibility is that Marvel will introduce another planet from the comics, which could play a big role in the future movies.

Valkyrie’s name isn’t featured in the list of names for “Avengers 4.” Still, it is possible that the character will make a cameo appearance, perhaps in the final fight, or her name may be mentioned to explain the fate of the characters who escaped.

The producers are yet to reveal the title of “Avengers 4.” The film is set to be released on May 3, 2019 in the US. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date of the film for Australia.
