A big cliff-hanger of “Ant-Man and the Wasp” will be resolved in the upcoming “Avengers 4” movie. Given the connected nature of all the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the big event in “Infinity War” will have a ripple effect across all the other movies. The following article contains spoilers from the recent “Ant-Man” movie.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp” ends with a post credits scene that takes Scott (Paul Rudd) back into the Quantum Realm, according to Collider. He will go there in search of some Quantum Energy that can be used to perhaps heal Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen). After Scott gets the energy and asks Hank (Michael Douglas) and the others to bring him back, there’s no answer.

While Scott was inside the Quantum Realm, Thanos (Josh Brolin) snapped his fingers, and half the life in the universe disappeared. So, Hank, his wife, and his daughter are all dead.

Fans may find that Scott is stuck in the Quantum Realm at the start of “Avengers 4.” The character will be in need of rescue or he will figure out a way to come back on his own. With his whole team dead, or transported into another dimension, he has a strong motive to team up with the remaining superheroes to try and fix things.

The post credits scene also seems to confirm that the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) will be more or less absent in the next film. It remains to be seen to what an extent Scott will be a part of the film.

There are many questions that the next movie will have to answer, most important of which is what really happened when Thanos snapped his finger. Did he actually kill everyone? Or did he create a new dimensions and sent half the people there?

If everyone is dead, the only way for them to bring back these characters in “Avengers 4” is through a time travel plot.
