Online review site Yelp featured its 2015 top 100 places to eat in Australia on Feb. 10. According to a site spokesman, they examined all restaurants and dining places based on a number of factors such as star ratings, number of reviews and review timing.

The list generally represents the opinions of average customers. Here are the top five places to eat in Australia for 2015, based on the latest Yelp list.

1. Mamak, Haymarket, NSW

Daily Telegraph reported that Mamak in Haymarket usually has long lines of people waiting outside to dine. The restaurant’s specialty is roti, butter roti and curry. Diners described the roti as very flaky and buttery, which is also why most people do not mind waiting several minutes to try it.

2. Patricia, Melbourne, VIC

The one-stop-café offers the best beans in Melbourne such as Proud Mary, Seven Seeds and Market Lane. People can enjoy different types of coffee together with donuts in a variety of flavors and other sweet pastries.

3. Bourke Street Bakery, Sydney, NSW

The Sydney bakery prides itself for its delectable and affordable pastries and bread. People can purchase loaves of bread for only $6. Meringues are among their specialties, particularly lemon meringue. The coffee is average but will match their great baked goodies well.

4. Fishmongers Manly, Manly, NSW

People who want to have the best fish and chips in town should visit Fishmongers Manly. The place offers a variety of seafood in big servings, which are perfect for groups and families. Diners can enjoy some time on the beach before eating chips dipped in tartar sauce. Others also reported getting a free beer or wine when checking in on Yelp.

5. E for Ethel, North Adelaide, SA

The café and gift shop offers a delicious and unique all-day menu featuring treats like bruschetta cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and feta on toasted rye, scones with jam and cream, nutria-grain and grilled halloumi, among others. People can dine any time of the day or have a cup of coffee or tea to while away the afternoon.

Be sure to visit any of these places when in Australia for a great authentic foodie experience. Never leave the country without trying at least one of them.
