Australian telecommunications provider My Net Fone Limited has announced a record profit for the full year that ended on 30 June 2015. Its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation or EBITDA rose to AU$12.2 million, with net profit after tax rising to AU$7.2 million, marking an increase of 35 percent and 24 percent respectively, compared to the previous financial year. The EBITDA surpassed the original FY15 forecast by nine percent.

“The company is at a very exciting point in its journey, delivering yet another strong result on the back of robust organic growth, and enormous potential in the global TNZI voice business,” said My Net Fone CEO Rene Sugo.

In a press release on the firm’s financial results, he said profit growth is largely attributable to organic growth within the MNF business, including performance of the recently acquired multinational voice business -- Telecom New Zealand International. My Net Fone is confident that the company will continue the strong organic growth in the coming year and in the future.

MyNetFone (My Net Fone Limited) is an integrated telecommunications software and network provider specialising in IP voice communications. It was founded in 2004 and listed on the ASX in 2006 with 66.8 million shares on issue. It has been recording profits since 2009 and paying dividends to shareholders every six months since September 2010. The group operates the largest IP voice network in Australia, with 100 percent population coverage in addition to operations in New Zealand and Singapore.

My Net Fone recently made news with VoiceLink -- a new generation business phone that delivers unlimited lines for a flat fee of AU$49 per month. The new business phone marks a significant departure from the traditional line-centred telephone by replacing ISDN and multiple landlines. VoiceLink connects the existing Private Branch Exchange or PBX of a business via Session Initiation Protocol or SIP trunking and replaces the traditional lines. With the new technology proving more scalable and cost effective, the savings are substantial, claimed a company press release.

“VoiceLink combines the freedom to scale with the certainty of a low monthly fee. Imagine replacing an ISDN 30 costing over AU$1,000 per month, with a AU$49 VoiceLink. Now imagine the cost savings of replacing five ISDN 30s with just one VoiceLink!” said Sugo. He called it “smarter, leaner and more effective” in running a telephone system within a business.
