Since his shows-topping audition at “Australia’s Got Talent” in May, Jack Vidgen from Manly Vale has been the big favorite to be this year’s winner of the reality competition.

And on the eve of the show’s grand final, the Aussie teen sensation, now dubbed as Australia’s answer to Canada’s Justin Bieber was flooded with disturbing threats.

Reports over the weekend have it that the threats were made against the overnight sensation, who wowed millions of viewers with his performance of Whitney Houston’s hit, “I Have Nothing”, on his Facebook Page.

No details about the threats have been released about the threats.

But the NSW Police asserted that authorities will launch investigations on the matter reported threats only after a formal complaint is filed by any member of Vidgen’s family.

"Police have been made aware of the Facebook page. However, at this time, we have not received a formal complaint from Jack Vidgen or his family," said a statement, citing a member of the NSW police force by the Sydney Morning Herald citing a report by the Australian Associated Press.

"If a complaint is received, police will investigate the matter fully, as we would with any complaint regarding social media."

Australia’s Got Talent is holding its grand final Tuesday night and this week’s episode of the reality competition is expected to draw in millions of viewers, even topping the 2-million viewers who tuned in in last week’s pre-grand final show.
