Australian actress Ruby Rose spent a night out with British singer Jessie J in New York, as they reunited during the weekend.

The two stars went out to support Rose’s “Orange Is The New Black” (OITNB) co-actor Danielle Brooks's Broadway’s musical “The Color Purple.” Rose took to Instagram on Sunday night to praise the show.

“You must see this. So proud of@daniebb3 .. Outstanding performance from @cynthiaerivo also!!! Many tears.. Many laughs. #thecolorpurple,” she captioned the photo.

After watching the show, Rose grabbeddinner with Jessie J in New York. The actress uploaded on Instagram a selfie with the “Flashlight” singer at the restaurant. “Just two normal people taking selfies at dinner before realizing what idiots we are and carrying on with our meal.. @isthatjessiej,” she wrote in the caption.

Her girl pal Jessie J then posted a similar photo on her Instagram account where she poked fun at Rose’s new-found fame.

“Crazy to think we have known each other for 8 years. People keep coming up to her and asking for a picture. Don't know why. ____(I gave her the choice of emojis this is the one she chose) __,” she captioned.

Jessie J, 27 and Rose, 29, have been close to each other since they first met in 2008. At the time, the “OITNB” actress was an MTV Australia VJ while the singer was just starting her career as an artist.

Rose revealed to The Daily Telegraph in 2011 that she was starstrucked when she first interviewed Jessie J during her MTV Style series. According to the actress, she was struck by anxiety and almost “vomited” in Jessie J’s lap.

“She is amazing. Her style is 100 percent unique to her. The first thing that I said to her when we sat down was, ‘I think I’m gonna be sick. I think I’m gonna vomit in your lap,’” she admitted.

The actress said that interview marked her long-standing friendship with Jessie J.
