Australian actress Margot Robbie may be spilling crazy sex secrets and promoting her latest blockbuster movie “Suicide Squad,” but she is ahead in the race to be chosen as the next Bond girl. The actress has already starred alongside some of Hollywood’s hottest names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith and Jared Leto. If everything goes well for the Aussie beauty, she may be chosen for the highly coveted role.

According to Irish bookmaker Paddy Power, Robbie is 12/1 to bag the sexy sidekick of James Bond and she is ahead of Emily Blunt who is at 16/1. Actresses named by Daily Star include Emily Ratajkowski, third favourite a 22/1 and Emma Watson of Harry Potter fame with odds of 40/1, reports Mirror.co.uk.

With well-praised roles in “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “The Legend of Tarzan,” Robbie is defining her territory in Hollywood. Her name is expected to get bigger with the release of “Suicide Squad” on Aug. 4 where she plays the psychotic super-villain and The Joker’s girlfriend Harley Quinn. She has already received widespread praise for her looks and baseball bat-swinging action.

Robbie joined fellow co-stars Jared Leto, Will Smith, Ben Affleck, friend Cara Delevingne, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje on a panel to chat about the movie. When asked how difficult it was for her to cope with the physical demands of the movie, Robbie said she never allowed the men to have all the glory.

Robbie revealed that she jumped at the chance of playing Quinn as she believes it is one of the best female roles she had ever seen.

Quinn’s character among serious baddies such as El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) and Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) would be a relief for viewers who may sometimes become overwhelmed by the grim nature of the movie. Quinn would be injecting her bubbly madness in otherwise serious situations.

“The other characters are pretty serious, so in a lot of the scenes I play up to the bubbly side, as opposed to the whole movie being really, really grim. But on the other hand, I had to dig pretty deep and go to some dark places,” Robbie said.
