Ruby Rose has a new tattoo, and the public isn't loving it. The Australian model and DJ has shown off her new ink, strategically located just below her breasts, on her social networking accounts. However, reactions to her latest skin art aren't very welcoming, with some followers calling the tattoo outright ugly.

With only her hands covering her breasts, the already heavily tattooed beauty posted pictures of her getting a tattoo on her naked torso.

The tattoo is a copy of a crown drawing by the late Jean-Michel Basquiat, an American artist who suffered depression and died of heroin overdose when he was just 27.

"F****** Art J.M.Basquiat the love of my life. Wanted this tattoo for years," she captioned one of the pics.

Like Basquiat, Ruby, who is currently 27, has been battling depression as of late. She cancelled a number of her upcoming DJ tour dates in March so she could focus on continuing her battle with depression.

But while it's good that Ruby chose something meaningful to her, some of her followers don't think that it's the most attractive ink that she has.

"why mark your body like that, if I had a body like your's I'd treasure it ....I don't mind tats but your's look awful," (sic) Facebook user Pat Milmlow commented on one photo.

Twitter follower Matt D also wrote, "If Ruby Rose wasn't depressed before getting that tattoo she surely must be now. Heinous."

While others called the tattoo "ugly," there are a few who pointed out the unfortunate location of the tat.

Some commenters also showed concern that she chose a design by an artist who had lost his battle with drugs and depression, thinking that she is in danger of relapsing.

But for Ruby, people's negative opinions don't matter.

"People say im 'ugly' ...it doesnt mean anything to me UNLESSit comes from @AmandaBynes," Ruby wrote on Twitter, referencing the controversial American actress who calls a lot of people ugly.
