AT&T has launched a new promotional offer for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus customers. The carrier is now allowing buyers of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus to get another iPhone for free.

AT&T is already running a buy-one-get-one free offer for Samsung smartphones like Galaxy S6, Note 5 and Note 4. The official promotional offer page only lists Samsung smartphones, but it has been confirmed by 9 to 5 Mac that the offer is also available on the newly released iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S smartphones.

The offer requires customers to buy the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus along with an AT&T Next plan. The carrier will provide US$650 (AU$904) credit to the customers. This amount is almost equivalent to the price of the 64 GB iPhone 6S and 16 GB iPhone 6S Plus.

Customers who choose the AT&T Next 24 plan will be charged with a monthly instalment amount of US$21.67 (AU$30.15) for a period of 30 months. Others who avail the AT&T Next plan will have to pay a monthly instalment amount of US$23.22 ($32.30) for a duration of 28 months. The total payment amounts to US$650 (AU$904) on both financing plans from AT&T.

The credit of US$650 (AU$904) can be used by AT&T subscribers to buy a new iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus smartphone with more storage than the purchased handset. The customers will also have to pay for the difference in amount.

AT&T will start providing the credit to iPhone 6S and 6S Plus customers from the third billing cycle. Customers should be aware that they will be accountable for extra charges such as services charges and taxes, Tech Times reports.

Only those customers with an original AT&T line and in good standing are eligible for the deal. The last chance to avail the offer is Dec. 31. The AT&T deal is only applicable on handsets from the same brand. For instance, iPhone buyers can only avail another iPhone for free and not an Android smartphone.
