The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 tablet is now available for sale in the U.S. The tablet is available for $199.99 at Best Buy. It can also be pre-ordered from B&H and Adorama for $199, according to reports.

The company had launched the ZenPad S 8.0 tablet at Computex in early June, however, no information on the tablet’s price or release date was mentioned, reports The Next Web.

The Zen Pad S 8.0 that weighs 10.51 ounces (298 grams) and sports 0.25 inches (6.6mm) thickness runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It also features an 8-inch 2,048×1,536 display and is powered by a quad-core Atom Z3530 processor. The tablet also gets a 5 MP rear camera, 2 MP front camera, 32GB of storage and a microSD slot. The company assures the battery life to last upto eight hours, reports The Next Web.

Currently, Best Buy is selling the 2 GB version of the tablet that offers 32 GB of internal storage. However, Asus has announced different versions of the ZenPad S 8.0 i.e 2GB and 4GB of RAM and 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of storage. Users also get an option to extend the memory of the tablet to an additional 128GB with a microSD card, as per the The Next Web report. The tablet also features 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, reports Liliputing.

According to Liliputing, Asus is also planning to introduce another model of the ZenPad S 8.0, which will be priced at a higher side, featuring upto 4GB of RAM, faster chips, USB Type-C connectors and other premium features. However, a cheaper model called the Asus ZenPad 8.0 Z380C is scheduled to be launched soon. This model will sport a 1,280 x 800 pixel display, an Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor along with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage and will be available at a price tag of $130. The device can also be pre-ordered from B&H and Adorama, as per the Liliputing report.
