Asus has launched the ROG Gladius II gaming mouse. The successor to the popular Republic of Gamers Gladius optical mouse has a specialised push-fit switch socket design for wide-ranging click resistance and heavy-duty switches rated to no less than 50 million clicks. It sports an ergonomic right-handed design that is optimised for first-person shooters, and Asus says it’s the best gaming mouse for FPS games.

The Gladius II was developed with input from pro gamers to make sure it has “the right look and feel,” according to the company. The mouse is intended to be used for FPS games by right-handed users and every grip type. It features the Asus-exclusive push-fit switch socket design that permits users to vary click resistance and prolong the device’s lifespan via replacement of worn switches.

The Asus ROG Gladius II gaming mouse makes use of long-lasting Omron switches that are rated to at least 50 million clicks. It’s also bundled with an extra pair of first-rate Japanese-made Omron mouse switches in case users prefer a different click feel. The new Asus ROG mouse has a dedicated DPI target button to provide more accurate sniping, in addition to a high-end 12,000 DPI optical sensor. The first generation Gladius only has a 6,400 DPI sensor along with a 20-million-click switch.

With the Aura RGB lighting’s palette of more than 16 million colours and six pre-set effects, users can customise the look of their gaming setup to their own taste. The Gladius II’s RGB lighting can be integrated with any Aura Sync-compatible products as well. The ROG Armoury software not only allows performance and surface calibration adjustment, but also further RGB lighting customisation.

Its Taiwanese electronics maker hasn’t officially announced the release date and pricing details of the Asus ROG Gladius II gaming mouse. Stay connected with IBTimes Australia for updates.
