Asus to Launch Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 on 11 April in China; Specs Details Reuters

Just recently, Asus posted a product teaser on its Facebook with a caption "See what others can't see only @Asus Facebook" and hashtags like "Zenfone", "Zenfans", "CES2015"and"experience2morrow."

Some rumours say that the new Zenfone might sport a dual-camera set-up. Additionally, another teaser was seen on YouTube.

According to Mobile Syrup, the information about the new ZenFone has leaked from a document that was filed by Asustek Computer Inc. through Bluetooth SIG or Special Interest Group. The document describes a possible new device which might be the Asus' follow-up on ZenFone, which is undeniably its most successful smartphone. The document also includes some information on the specs of the phone and even describes the device to come with outstanding photo and video quality.

The leaked device was shown to be a 4.5-inch device and it will be powered with a dual-core Intel chip and 1GB of RAM; however, there has been no details on its internal storage. The battery was listed at 2,100mAh, and the leak also mentioned that the smartphone will have a 5MP rear camera with a 0.3MP snapper on the front. Furthermore, no other specs were listed, and there was no mention of a dual-camera like the one previously teased by the company. With the given specs it would be safe to note that the new ZenFone is more likely to be launched as an entry level phone.

The new ZenFone might also be equipped with a screen that has 480x854 pixel display. The device might have the Android 4.4 as its platform plus Asus' ZenUI. Some also say that the leaked specs of new device are not so impressive that is why it might be sold for a much lower cost.

Looking back, Asus launched three new smartphones at CES last year, but the tech company seems to have no bigger plans for 2015 other the leaked smartphone. But it is also possible that Asus would have further announcement during the CES event, TechnoBuffalo reports.
