The Norwegian Nobel Committee, founder of the Nobel Peace Prize had praised Obama's calls for peace and harmony, as well as his pledges to eliminate the world stock of nuclear weapons. The committee chairman, Thorbjoern Jagland had cited that Obama deserved the 2009 Nobel prize as the president had shown his ability to change the international climate, he has caught the world's attention and providing hopes to his people for a better future and at the same time, this provides good inspirations for those who are working with nuclear disarmament.
Obama himself was very surprised by this honor when he received the news himself. Although this announcement cited a lot of surprises and skeptical that it is too early for Obama to win the prize, yet the judges found his promise of disarmament and diplomacy too good to be ignored.
The decision made by the Norwegian Nobel prize committee was very firm because they recognized the extra-ordinary efforts of Obama to strengthen the International Diplomacy and harmony between peoples. Multilateral diplomacy has regained its centric position and emphasize, with the emphasis of Business Dialogues and proper negotiations sessions to be initiated and utilized as the instrument and platform to resolve even the most complex Global conflicts.
