King of Pop Back on Top in Days After Death

Michael Jackson's music is topping the charts once again. Albums are flying off store shelves as sales of Jackson's music soared in the last four days.

Album sales are up nearly forty times what they were the week before he died. U.S. retailers report more than 400,000 albums sold this week, more than half of those sales were digital downloads.

Individual digital song downloads have peaked at 2.3 million, compare that to just 37,000 songs sold last week.

Jackson 5 album sales are also up this week.

The last time the world saw a jump in sales like this was after the death of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain. But the band only 68,000 copies in the days after Cobain killed himself.

The most popular Jackson downloads this week have been "Number Ones", "The Essential Michael Jackson" and "Thriller".

Michael Jackson's album "Thriller" is one of the best-selling albums ever, 28-million copies have gone out to U.S. stores.
