Former Disney star Hilary Duff is set to tackle Faye Dunaway's legendary role of Bonnie Parker, one-half of crime's notorious duo, in "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde", an announcement that caused the two to start a battle-of-words.

"Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?" Dunaway reportedly scoffed last week.

Duff hit back at against the Oscar-winning screen legend on Tuesday.

"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is," she told E! News.

"I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too."

Let's hope Dunaway takes the high road and decides to put an end to this feud by not responding.
