StumbleuponA British computer hacker, Gary McKinnon, 42, wins right to fight extradition to US Friday after being accused of hacking into computers owned by the US military and NASA space.
Gary McKinnon admits to hacking into U.S. government computer systems in 2001 and 2002, following the September 11, 2001 attacks, in attempts of finding information regarding UFOs, which he believed U.S. authorities had suppressed.
If convicted by a US court McKinnon will spend his life in prison. Reports says, he has been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism, which is a neurological disorder characterized by obsessive behavior and deficiencies in social interaction.
According to Lucy Clarke, the hacker's girlfriend of four years, McKinnon has been depressed and if forced to undergo extradition to US, "She could attempt suicide."
