Singing for President Barack Obama on his first night of office left Grammy-winning singer Mariah Carey full of nerves.

Carey was feeling a bit of fear prior to her inauguration performance, Fox news reported.
"Everyone was calming her down, telling her she would be great," according to a source.
The "Always Be My Baby" singer donned a gorgeous black velvet floor-length gown and sang into a diamante-encrusted microphone at the Neighborhood ball, the first of ten balls the Obama's attended.
Carey sang her platinum-selling hit "Hero"
"I wrote this song to inspire people that anything is possible. Tonight I think we all believe that a whole lot more," Mariah said.
"This is for everyone out there with a dream, and of course, I have to dedicate it to our new president," she added.
