The DNA tests have positively matched Anthony's genetic profile. The remains were found last week by a utility worker less than half a mile from where Anthony lived.

Caylee's mother, 22-year-old Casey Anthony, was charged for first-degree murder and other charges in October, even though no body was found. She has insisted that she left the girl with a baby sitter in June, but her disappearance was not reported until July when Caylee' s grandmother called authorities to report her missing.

She also reported that Casey Anthony's car smelled like death.

According to Garavaglia, the bone fragments did not reveal any trauma before death the exact cause of death however remains a mystery.
