Vicky Iseman, the lobbyist who was alleged in a New York Times article earlier this year to have been involved in an affair with Presidential candidate John McCain has spoken to the National Journal Magazine denying such a relationship.

Iseman, 41, told the magazine she never acted unethically in her dealings with the senator and declared she "never had an affair or an inappropriate relationship with senator McCain."
"I did not have a sexual relationship with Senator McCain," Iseman told the magazine.
In February of this year the New York Times published an article titled "For McCain, Self-Confidence on Ethics Poses Its Own Risk."
The story said McCain's top advisers were "convinced" that the senator and Iseman were having an affair in 1999. However the paper did not provide evidence.
The story was a scandal at the time it was published and McCain immediately denied the rumors saying "At no time have I ever done anything that would betray the public trust."
