NEW YORK - Iranian President Mahmoud Admadinejad said that U.S. is to blame for causing any hostility between Iran and the U.S, not his country.
"The hostility has not been from our end. Up to this day, we have always been interested in having friendly relations," Ahmadinejad said during an interview with CNN's Larry King on Tuesday night.
"The hostility has been one-sided on the part of American politicians. And our nation has always defended itself against that hostility."
He went on to contradict himself by saying that "it's clear that nations do not have any problems with one another."
"We don't have any issues with the American people. But when the American government uses the language of force, we have no choice but to defend against it."
He is currently in New York, meeting with international leaders at the United Nations.
