HT Media, a subsidiary of Australian private equity investor Ironbridge Capital, has confirmed that its takeover offer for CanWest MediaWorks (NZ) will close on Monday.
HT Media said about 78.5 per cent of MediaWorks shareholders had now accepted its offer.
That includes the 70 per cent stake in MediaWorks owned by CanWest's Canadian parent.
HT Media said it confirmed its offer for all the shares and options in MediaWorks would close at 5pm (1500 AEST) on Monday and would not be extended.
The offer is for $2.33 a share, adjusted from an initial $2.43 to take account of the payment of a special 10c dividend.
