Arsenal has been quick with its move in the race as being the first to offer the sign-in demand youngster Paulo Dybala from Palermo at staggering amount of 40 million euros. While the price offered sounded right, Borussia Dortmund beat them to it at a reportedly much higher offer bid, in the amount of 48 million euros as reported in Argentina. It's a totally serious competition and the Gunners are facing some serious counter-offer.

Being one of Europe's hottest, not to mention among the youngster forwards, this made Dybala a host of big-name teams ready to track him for an offer. Among these big names include Liverpool and Manchester United but it is Arsenal which seemed to be most interested and up for a big competition over the hot youngster.

With a very impressive seven goals in 16 Serie A appearances to top his track record, Dybala undoubtedly put himself on the a-list of coaches in the Premier League and has been compared to Sergio Aguero this season. Clarin, the Argentinian daily reported that Arsenal had baulked at Dybala's previous 31 million pounds asking price but it was actually the exact price being offered.

The stirring bids over Dybala have caused wariness to Dortmund; hence the latter leapfrogged its competitors by offering a greater price. Of course, the clear intention for the big offer was to scare off its rivals. That way, Dybala would have a clear option on who gets him if offer price be the main consideration.

As the January window on the horizon gets closer, major developments on Dybala's bid options are to be expected. Palerma is sure about these developments to take place. Manchester United and Liverpool still have the time to launch a counter-offer for the 21-year-old's signature.

Maurizio Zamparini, Palermo President, has great faith on Dybala's performance on the field. With such faith, Zamparini truly believes that is it only but a matter of time his young starlet gets his "one moment in time" and become one of the best players in the world. According to Zamparini, in two years' time, Dybala will be better than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and it would take at least 40 million euros for other teams to snitch Dybala away from Palermo. He is, after all, the best striker in Serie A.
