Arsenal attacker Aaron Ramsey praised midfield maestro, Santi Cazorla, who delivered a spectacular performance in their win over Manchester City.

The diminutive Spanish international converted from the spot for the opening goal just 24 minutes after kick-off, and found Olivier Giroud's head for the second, which came off a free-kick. But more than that, the 30-year-old showed that he has adapted excellently in his new central role, recording a 92 per cent passing accuracy in his 100 touches throughout the game.

"Santi's a little magician on the pitch," Ramsey told Arsenal.com.

"You saw him out there so many times, how he wriggles out of certain situations, and he had a very good game."

"We're delighted for him and hopefully he can continue his form as well."

Ramsey also pointed out that the Gunners were fantastic on the defensive end, led by second-choice goalkeeper David Ospina, who saved four of the Sky Blues on-target attempts.

"It was obviously a good game for us. We defended really well as a team," he continued.

"We were really hard to break down and we took our chances when we needed to, so it was a very complete performance today."

"In the past we've been a bit too open at Manchester City. It's been quite difficult for us in the last few years but we wanted to put things right and we definitely put in a good performance to come away with three points."

The north London outfit remains on the fifth spot of the Premier League table after 22 games. They will be hosting Aston Villa this coming Sunday.
