Lian Yu may have been destroyed, but Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will have to face its aftermath in “Arrow” season 6. The trailer of the TV series released at the San Diego Comic-Con shows some of the characters who survived, and how the big event will have an impact on the plot.

The destruction of Lian Yu and the events surrounding it was a big part of the trailer. The scenes are an important reminder to fans that not everyone may have made it out alive after last season’s finale.

The trailer shows that Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) and Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) are still alive. The fate of the other major characters is still unknown.

The biggest consequence of the events of the last season is that Oliver’s son blames his father. The boy is clearly shaken by the horrors and is having nightmares about them.

Black Siren continues to be one of the big baddy in the series. The video shows her fighting Dinah (Juliana Harkavy). The two characters have fought each other before, both using their scream powers, and that fight is set to continue when the show returns.

Oliver is also on the bridge where Black Siren and Dinah fight. The trailer shows him in his superhero costume jumping over the side of the bridge at night, which appears to be the same time as the fight sequence. The fight scene was filmed at the Georgia Vladuct.

Season 6 is promising to have the same gritty action the show is famous for. Apart from the fights, there is also scope for more drama and the personal challenges that Oliver will face, especially with his son blaming him.

The TV series is set to return on Oct. 12. “A hero’s duty never ends,” the caption of the trailer reads.
