“Arrow” season 5 star Paul Blackthorne is not leaving the sci-fi world. This time around, he will be in “Star Wars Battlefront II.”

The actor has confirmed that he will be joining the video game based on the “Star Wars” film franchise. He will be playing a member of the Inferno Squad. Blackthorne also revealed that he has been working on the project for a couple of months now.

“Ladies & Gents I'm very pleased to tell you that I've been working on this sweet little gig the last few months - the next Star Wars video game... It's a humbling process running around in little tight suits for the MoCap process but what a great experience it's been - brilliant script, brilliant actors - Janina Gavankar being one of them who I'm now working with for the THIRD time and brilliant director Tom Keegan. I'm playing Gideon Hask of the Inferno Squadron - you only get to hear my voice in the trailer but I promise you there's some fun stuff to come. Let the games begin,” Blackthorne wrote on his Faceboook page.

The official Electronic Arts’ “Star Wars” Twitter account also confirmed that Blackthorne will play an Inferno Squad member named Gideon Hask. The actor joins “True Blood” actress Janina Gavankar, who will portray the protagonist in the game.

Blackthorne is best known for his role as Quentin Lance in The CW superhero series “Arrow.” In the current season, he dealt with the death of his daughter ADA Laurel Lance, a.k.a. Black Canary (Katie Cassidy).

EA also dropped the official trailer for “Star Wars Battlefront II” over the weekend. It features Iden Versio fighting some rebels on Endor when she sees a Death Star blown up in the sky above. She vows revenge on the Alliance for the death of her Emperor.

The video game company is set to bring the upcoming title to the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2017, which is slated on June 13-15. “Star Wars Battlefront II” will officially release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 17.

Meanwhile, “Arrow” season 5 is on a brief hiatus and will return next week. In the upcoming episode titled “Dangerous Liaisons," Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) along with his team, ARGUS and the Star City Police District will join forces to hunt Adrian Chase/Prometheus (Josh Segarra). Helix tells Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) that there is another way to take down Prometheus but she needs to do something for them in return.

“Arrow” season 5 episode 19 airs on April 26 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. It also airs on Foxtel in Australia.
