Stephen Amell knows about “Arrow” Season 5 villain and he teased some details about it in a recent interview. It is still not clear if the villain will be introduced in the Season 4 finale episode.

[Spoiler alert]

The new villain in the popular TV series will not have any magical powers, Amell (Oliver Queen) told Variety recently. The actor revealed that the new baddie is a character the writers could introduce only in the fifth, sixth or the seventh season.

Amell knows more about the new villain, but chose not to disclose any details this early. Olive still has to take on Damien Darhk in the Season 4 finale and so far the heroes have not been able to overcome the supernatural powers of the character. They were only briefly successful when they stole his idol. With his powers now increased exponentially; it will be even more challenging for the heroes to defeat him.

Talking about the crossovers with some of the other DC TV shows owned by The CW, Amell said that the crossovers that have happened so far were “great” and he looks forward to more such episodes in the future. The network currently owns “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and “Legends,” so more crossovers can be expected in “Arrow” Season 5.

Meanwhile, pictures from the finale episode of Season 4 have surfaced online. The pictures posted on Melty show that the final battle between Oliver and Darhk will take place on the streets of Star City.

Will Oliver be able to overcome the darkness within him and defeat his enemy? According to the official synopsis of the episode; the heroes will enlist the help of a “surprising force” in order to defeat the villain.

Admittedly, one of the biggest concerns of the current season has been the flashback scenes. With the villain in “Arrow” Season 5 not having any magical powers, the heroes can go back to fighting crime the way they used to in the very first season of the TV series and the flashback scenes may also get better.
