Stephen Amell shared two pictures after filming a major action sequence for “Arrow” Season 5. The pictures show the actor being injured, but he said that it was “totally worth it” for the show.

“My face met a foot,” Amell (Oliver) joked in his post. The actor had to put some cotton in his nose in order to stop the bleeding. Commenting on the post, some of the fans seemed relieved that the show is getting back to basics with action after the superhero had to fight with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).

The mob will be the new criminal element in Star City that Oliver has to fight. Some of the fans were concerned about the fight scenes in the previous season, because the superhero was fighting an enemy with nearly unbeatable supernatural powers. That will change in the next season, as the villain will not have any magical powers.

“hey man. Just watch S5. It's good,” Amell told one of the concerned fans.

Amell shared another picture of his injury from “Arrow” Season 5 and asked his fans to go ahead and share memes of the picture.

Executive Producer Wendy Mericle previously told TV Line that the fight scenes in the next season of the show look “amazing.” Following the success of “Game of Thrones,” the producers of “Arrow” are trying to do something “Similar” with their show with regards to the action sequences. The producer teased that the fights are “bloody” and the viewers will feel that they are “in it.”

Oliver will be getting some new recruits for his team in “Arrow” Season 5. According to the synopsis, the rookie superheroes will prove to be “obstacles” rather than “allies.” Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will be guilt ridden after what happened at Havenrock. Mericle teased that the character will be in a state of “limbo” until she gets past the incident.
