[Spoiler alert]

Dead characters have a way of coming back in a TV series. Viewers may find that the Black Canary will find her way back in the next season. In an interview with TV Magazine the showrunners teased the character’s return, Spoiler TV reports. The showrunners pointed out that this was the second time that “Canary was clipped,” so it “wouldn’t be crazy to see a third bird.”

The showrunners conceded that not many fans were happy that Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) was killed, but added that the decision will “make more sense” in the next season. The producers did not elaborate on how the Black Canary will be back and if a new actress will get to wear the mask.

Talking about the superhero team, the producers explained that the team will be “rebuilt” in “Arrow” Season 5. A whole set of new heroes will be joining Oliver in his fight to save Star City from another villain. Joe Dinicol has been cast to play the role of DC Comics vigilante Rory Regan, also known as Ragman, Entertainment Weekly reports.

After facing a personal tragedy Ragman will travel to Star City with the hope of finding some answers. Eventually the vigilante will come across Oliver.

The flashbacks in the next season are expected to take Oliver to Russia. Viewers will also learn how he joined Bratva.

The producers did not reveal much about the new villain in “Arrow” Season 5. They, however, did tease that the villain is someone Oliver unwittingly created as the masked hero in the first season. The hero’s new enemy has been described as a “dark mirror” to Oliver, and he has spent the last few years training and plotting for revenge.
