"Arrow" Season 3 spoilers suggest another big season for this DC Comics-inspired series on The CW. Olicity shippers are in for a treat, albeit a dramatic hitch is on the horizon. Costumes to be donned by The Atom, Arsenal and (the next) Black Canary are much anticipated. Arrow 3x1 airs Oct. 8.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains Arrow Season 3 spoilers. Read at your own risk.

Brandon Routh is joining the Arrow universe as Ray Palmer, aka "Atom." He and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) are going to be drawn into each other. In Arrow Season 3, Episode 1, however, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) dates Felicity. Spoiler: Things do not end up well for Olicity.

Atom is suiting up in Arrow Season 3, which is a must-see for cosplayers. Arsenal is also suiting up, and Colton Haynes (who plays Roy Harper, aka Red Arrow) has already leaked the image to his followers on Instagram.

Caity Lotz is coming back as "the former Canary." Lotz' Sara Lance has passed on her black leather jacket to her sister Laurel (Katie Cassidy), but it does not mean she's done fighting the bad guys. Laurel's fans have been waiting for the elder sis to be Black Canary. But in Arrow Season 3, Episode 1, Laurel's crime-fighting voice stays in the court.

Fans should watch Arrow Season 3, Episode 1 to hear Oliver confess to Felicity that he was not on the island the entire five years. Spoilers reveal there will be some (or a lot of) Hong Kong in this new season.

Paul Blackthorne's Detective Quentin Lance is alive and well. John Barrowman's Malcolm Merlyn will have a lot more screentime. Willa Holland's Thea Merlyn (formerly Thea Queen) is going dark. Arrow Season 3 is giving these characters a new treatment.

Oliver Queen is going to push away David Ramsey's John Diggle, but the latter is not going to let The Arrow have his way. He is going to be a father, all right, but Dig is not leaving Team Arrow.

Who is the big villain in Arrow Season 3? From Merlyn to Deathstroke to --- who's next?

"What's interesting about the villain in [Arrow Season 3] is that he doesn't necessarily disagree with [Oliver]. He doesn't have any personal animus towards the Arrow," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly.

Reports point to Ra's al Ghul as the "big bad" in Arrow Season 3. This makes fans wonder: Will Malcolm Merlyn fight on Oliver's side? Or will it be a three-way battle this season?

Stephen Amell has been generous with Arrow Season 3 spoilers and teasers. He has also been promoting "The Flash," a DC Comics freshman on The CW. This is what Amell has to say to his fans on Twitter, a day before Arrow 3 premieres:

Hope everyone enjoyed #TheFlash Premiere. Honored to be a part of it. #Arrow starts in 23 hours.

— Stephen Amell (@amellywood) October 8, 2014

(The Flash is joining Arrow Season 3 in crossover episodes, running on both shows.)
