‘Arrow' Season 3: Deathstroke Could Return As Suicide Squad New Member
Manu Bennett recently hinted his return as Deathstroke in the Season 3 of "Arrow." Although there's no specific timeline yet as to when and how the character will be reintroduced. But according to Moviepilot, the villain could be recruited as a new member of the Suicide Squad.
Since Deathstroke is now a prisoner of Amanda Waller, there have reportedly been speculations that he could be recruited to defeat other villains. Deathstroke could be fighting against other powerful enemies in "The Flash." The Suicide Squad will reportedly unleash its force against Killer Frost, Plastique and Captain Boomerang.
Fans saw their first look of the anti-hero team back in February. Comicbookresources shared a photo of the Suicide Squad consisting of members Ben Turner/Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Mark Scheffer/Shrapnel (Sean Maher), Floyd Lawton/Deadshot (Michael Rowe) and Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson). Diggle (David Ramsey) and Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) also returned to reprise their role. The squad was then introduced in an episode in the Season 2 of "Arrow" on March 19.
As for the merciless killer Deathstroke, otherwise known as Slade Wilson, his comeback will allegedly involve a face-off with Ra's Al Ghul. During the Wizard World Nashville Comic Con, Manu Bennett claimed the Season 2 finale of "Arrow" is not the last fans have seen of his character. He hinted his return for revenge in Season 3. Likewise, he also shared his approval on casting Matt Nable as Ra's Al Ghul. He recalled working with the actor in Australia's version of "Sons of Anarchy" entitled "Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms." Nable portrayed the head of the biker gang in the series. The actor claimed Matt Nable "got such intensity to him" that he would really be perfect as Ra's. As for the face-off, Bennett claims Stephen Amell would have to step up his game when that encounter really happens in Season 3 of "Arrow."
"If it ever comes down to him and me facing off in a scene, "whew," I mean Stephen Amell is really going to have to bring it to the fire at that stage," he said.
Season 3 of "Arrow" premieres on Oct. 8 at 8:00 p.m. on the CW channel.
