“Arrow” season 5 will introduce a female vigilante. The CW has released the synopsis for upcoming episode of the series, and it practically dropped major hints about what’s to come. It was revealed that female vigilante Talia al Ghul is making an entrance.

Lexa Doig was picked to play the said role. The actress is best known for her appearances in “Andromeda,” “Continuum,” “Stargate SG-1” and “The 4400.”

In the synopsis, it was revealed that Talia will offer her help to Oliver (Stephen Amell). The lead character will specifically need her help to defeat Kovar (Dolph Lundgren). However, Talia is not one who would provide her services for free.

When Talia tells Oliver what she wants, the latter gets second thoughts on whether or not he will accept her offer. “Arrow” season 5 viewers can look forward to learn if the female vigilante is a friend of Oliver, or if she will eventually end up as one his enemies.

Curtis (Echo Kellum) will spread the news about the female vigilante. It is believed that Talia will appear in the present day and in a flashback.

Talia is another daughter of Ra’s al Ghul,(Matt Nable) the leader of the League of Assassins and the sister of Nyssa, (Katrina Law) who appeared in season 4 to disband the League of Legends. Talia is described as worldly, cultured and an elite warrior who doesn't pick sides but rather creates her own.

Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) tries to hack the NSA. She decided to do so in order to free Diggle (David Ramsey). “But when her on-line efforts are flagged, she faces off against an unknown adversary,” the synopsis revealed.

It is expected that more of the female vigilante will be revealed when the series returns. “Arrow” airs on Fox8 in Australia. The second half of “Arrow” season 5 is slated to air on Jan. 25 on the CW in the US.

Edited: Updated to correct “Arrow” season 11 to “Arrow” season 5.
