Former "Victorious" star, Ariana Grande has allegedly dumped boyfriend, Jai Brooks of "The Janoskians." Having dated for so long, what made Grande decide to end the relationship as quickly as possible? Are the rumours even true that Grande broke up with Brooks or did both parties make a say on the decision?

Fans of "The Janoskians" would know that Jai Brooks is exclusively dating "Sam & Cat" star, Ariana Grande. Both stars have countless photos of them on their separate Instagram accounts and have been caught in major PDA. Obviously, Jai Brooks and Ariana Grande are head over heels in love with the other so why the split?

A representative of Nickelodeon spoke up on Ariana Grande's behalf explaining the split between her and Jai Brooks.

"The distance played a major role as it was hard to maintain a relationship so far away," stated the source, adding, "They remain close friends."

Ariana Grande is currently working out her time in New York and California given her lead role in the television series, "Sam & Cat." Joining Grande in the series is "iCarly" star, Jennette McCurdy. The Nickelodeon original series is set to premiere this spring.

On the other hand, Jai Brooks is also busy with his schedule given he is part of the YouTube sensation, "The Janoskians." Apart from Brooks' schedule, Jai lives in Australia adding to the distance constraint between him and Grande.

Despite the rumours, Jai Brooks and Ariana Grande remain good friends. Ariana Grande did not dump Brooks contrary to what other web tabloids claim. In response to the break up issue, Jai Brooks took to Twitter to explain his current situation with Grande.

"Neither of us knew how hard it'd be to be apart," stated Brooks, adding, "We still love each other more than anything, though. She's still my girl."

Hopefully, the distance doesn't cause a permanent rift between the two stars. "Janoskians" love Ariana Grande for Brooks and the same goes for Grande fans who think the couple are too cute. Check out the slideshow to see Ariana Grande and Jai Brooks in their PDA action.
