Finally Google’s instant messaging app will support Apple Watch. The search giant has updated the iOS version of Hangouts, enabling users to reply to massages.

Earlier, Google Hangouts only allowed users to open and read messages. The latest update would help users to send text replies.

Hangouts will now enable Apple Watch users to read and reply incoming messages. However, it is only possible to send a written response with few pre-written choices.

Otherwise, users can only dictate a message right from the wrist. Hangouts can be best utilised when the user is really busy and unable to sit and type text messages. Voice dictations will serve the purpose, without taking out the phone. Users can download the latest version of Hangouts 6.1 from the iOS Apps Store.

Apple Watch users can always respond to the app’s notifications using from their iPhones. Users just need to open the notifications windows and get access to type text messages, reports Slash Gear.

However, the Hangouts page within the iOS Apps Store does not reflect screen shots of how to update the app on Apple Watch. The page clearly shows how the updated app looks on iPhones and iPads.

Last month, Facebook Messenger and BlackBerry’s BBM have already reached the Apple Watch. Facebook Messenger was updated to work with Apple Watch. The messaging app allows users to send voice clips, likes, stickers and much more. BlackBerry Messenger also allow users to receive read incoming messages. They can also reply to messages from a pool of pre-written responses. Users can also reply via dictations, as reported by Tech Times.
