If reports are to be believed, the Apple Watch 3 2017 could feature a camera though not much change in display and design are expected. The Apple Watch Series 2 has already been launched with an S2 chip, water-resistant features and GPS. Now, speculations surrounding the Apple Watch Series 3 are already making rounds.

There are speculations that the Apple Watch 3 will be released in September 2017 and it could well be the wearable counterpart of Apple iPhone 8. However, as per Tech Radar, Apple may not find it necessary to refresh its Watch every year. Hence, the Apple Watch Series 3 may actually come out in 2018.

As per certain rumoured leaks, the Apple Watch 3 will sport a 1.65-inch micro-LED Display. The Watch may also be OLED though Apple could be considering the micro-LED panel for the wearable simply to provide a boost to the resolution. Apple Watch Series 2 has a crisp display but it’s not razor-sharp. Thus, Apple could be improving the screen in some way or the other though the resolution may remain 390 X 312 pixels.

The overall look of the Apple Watch 3 is not likely to change though new case materials might be added. Some believe that the watch will be slimmer and smaller than current models. This seems unlikely as the company may choose to pack in more tech than reduce the size of the wearable.

A FaceTime camera is also expected in the Apple Watch Series 3, writes Mobile & Apps. Earlier it was reported that the Apple Watch 2 will have a camera but it didn’t. Hence, Apple may incorporate the plan into its Apple Watch 3. In terms of battery, a minimum of two days of battery life is expected in the wearable.

If the Apple Watch Series 3 released late 2017 or early 2018, it could run on watchOS 4 or watchOS 5. A majorly upgraded processor, such as a dual-core S3 chip may also be included. Cellular capabilities could be the big feature in the Apple Watch 3. It may come with its own SIM card and may not be dependent on iPhone.

As regards the price of the Apple Watch Series 3, the device may be priced similar to the Apple Watch 2. The Watch 2 was made available in Australia for $529.
