Apple has been gearing up for another press event this October 16 opening up forecasts and expectations. The Cupertino-based giant is slated to hold another event where the company is expected to announce upcoming products like iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iOs 8 updates and Apple Pay. It has been a series of eventful weeks for the company with the iPhone 6 posting record-breaking sales but iOS 8 causing trouble. Can Apple sail more smoothly on its next affair?

Apple's iPhone 6 flagship series took majority of the attention with Apple Pay and Apple Watch following suit. As the buzz settles down, Apple is almost ready to make new waves as the company announced another event to be held this October 16. According to reports, Apple will be announcing several of its products and services during the conference with Apple iPad Air 2 taking the lead.

Engadget reports that people may expect a thinner iPad Air. The design of the iPhone 6 may find its way to the tablet series with Tinhte.vn leaking an image of the device. According to the tip, the iPad's chassis and overall build is thinner. It spans around 7mm which fits right into the iPhone 6 system.

Other features reported include a stainless steel ring surrounding the home button and the seemingly TouchID configuration. Engadget also noted that Apple may release a gold version following a similar color scheme to the iPhone series. There are no confirmed details though if Apple will bump up the tablet's resolution.

GT Advanced made the headlines following production mishaps. The company failed to deliver the sapphire requirements of Apple and has gone downhill from there ending in bankruptcy filing. According to the Wall Street Journal, GT's executive, Daniel Squiller, may have foreseen the situation selling his shares in May with succeeding transactions in the months after before the October 6 filing. The sales surfaced following initial production problems.

Apple iOS 8 has also been plagued with issues. Many users complained about shorter battery life according to Christian Today. Apple has also been working on several updates to offer fixes. For those who have been experiencing battery problems, one of the best ways to prolong life is through adjusting screen brightness. Other fixes include turning off Dynamic Backgrounds and Power Cycle.
