Apple may not appear to be on its way to revamping its tablet line completely but the company will reportedly work on a "Pro" or "Plus" version of the device. Slated for release next year, the new tablet line will also kill the iPad Mini 3 series. Apple will focus more on strengthening its computer line as experts expect new breed of MacBooks in 2015. Can Apple deliver more killer releases?

Apple's iPad still gain profit but they have not been as lucrative as in the past years. The tablet segment has been struggling putting more pressure on manufacturers either to kill their product lines or come up with something more creative or innovative. In Apple's case, the company appears to be planning on "extending" the product line rather than revamping it. Moreover, instead of the reportedly "Pro" name, 9to5Mac reports that Japanese magazine Mac Fan published schematics of the device calling it instead as iPad Air Plus.

Reports and speculations about the larger iPad came when KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo predicted it sometime ago. The analyst is best known for more than accurate forecasts about the company. Details of the bigger iPad remain scarce but analysts expect it to follow the footprint of standard small notebook computers. The difference will most likely be a thinner build just like how Apple designed its iPad Air series according to the Inquisitr. Other features of the upcoming device include four speaks and the A9 processor. Additionally, the Inquisitr also notes that Apple plans to kill its iPad Mini series to make way for other products.

The iPad Air Plus is expected to be released mid-2015.

In another report, blogger Jack Marsh shares more information about the upcoming 2015 MacBook Air. The model will reportedly feature a USB Type C connector with three color variants: space gray, silver and gold. Other features of the device include a 12-inch build, improved clamshell structure and more energy-efficient processors.

Apple has not released the final details of the both devices yet.
