Apple Pay has added further support from banks and credit unions for sustaining and supporting the iPhone-, iPad- and Apple Watch-based payments service in the U.S. Apple on Tuesday added 23 more companies to the list of U.S. banks supporting Apple Pay.

Last week Apple announced that the UK would be the first country outside the U.S. to avail Apple Pay. The company plans to launch the service on July 14, according to 9to5Mac.

The announcement of integrating 23 more banks and financial institutions marks the new beginning ahead of its international expansion. Apple Pay is expected to come with all major banks and card issuers in the UK except Barclays. According to 9to5Mac, the UK banks will include First Direct, HSBC, NatWest, Nationwide Building Society, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander and Ulster Bank. Furthermore, by this fall, Bank of Scotland, Coutts, Halifax, Lloyds Bank, MBNA, M&S Bank and TSB Bank are expected to be on board.

  • Service Credit Union
  • SRP Federal Credit Union
  • SUMA (Yonkers) FCU
  • Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union
  • Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union
  • Tri County Area Federal Credit Union
  • Trona Valley Federal Credit Union
  • United Teletech Financial
  • Winthrop Area FCU

Apple Pay is accepted in grocery stores, restaurants, hotels and many more business establishments. Customers of the above-listed banks will now be able to pay for goods and services at participating merchants via their iPhones and Apple Watches and buy online merchandise via their iPhones and iPads.
