The unexpectedly high demand of iPhone SE has helped the newly launched device to over perform all expectations, revealed Apple CEO Tim Cook during a quarterly conference call on Tuesday.

The 4-inch form factor has managed to attract new users along with existing iPhone customers to switch to the new iPhone SE. Cook confirmed that there is demand in the market which is way beyond expectations.

He also confirmed that Apple is working hard towards fulfilling the overwhelming demand for the iPhone SE. The phone has inherited its design elements from the iPhone 5s and its hardware specifications match with Apple’s current flagship, the iPhone 6s.

Apple’s new 4-inch iPhone SE is equipped with powerful specs at an affordable price point.

The entry-level 16GB model is priced at US$399 (AU$523) as compared to the iPhone 6s which starts at US$649 (AU$850). The 64GB variant of the iPhone SE costs US$499 (AU$657).

According to Apple Insider, the unprecedented demand of the iPhone SE has resulted in dwindling inventory stocks and shipping delays in both Apple’s online and physical retail stores.
