Recent renders of the Apple iPhone 7 hint at relocation of antenna bands and probable inclusion of a new feature.

The photos of the purported iPhone 7, published on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, mostly corroborate previously surfaced schematics except for one aspect. The image depicting the rear panel of the iPhone 7 suggests that the device would feature two small holes between the camera module and the flash unit.

The larger hole is said to be the rear-facing microphone of the handset. The function of the additional hole still remains a mystery. These images were first spotted by LetemSvetemApplem (via Apple Insider).

However, there is no way that IBT Australia could confirm the authenticity of the aforementioned images.

The purported rear shell of the iPhone 7 also shows relocated antenna bands on both top and bottom edges of the device unlike the iPhone 6 and 6s. There is no sign of the presence of Smart Connector port.

In related news, Apple will reportedly come up with three models of the upcoming iPhone 7. In a new report to investors, noted KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned that the entire line-up of 5.5-inch models of the iPhone 7 would probably house a dual-lens camera unit, as reported by 9to5Mac.

However, there are contradictory speculations as well. Other reports indicate that this year, Apple would release two 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models with identical specs and features along with a distinct 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus variant with dual-lens camera module. The larger screened iPhone 7 may also arrive with a “Pro” moniker, according to unconfirmed reports.

The iPhone 7 Pro is also slated to sport a Smart Connector port and 3GB of RAM.

Mobipicker has received an image from a tipster suggesting that Apple has already started production of three models including iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Pro and iPhone 7 Plus premium. As usual, Foxconn and Pegatron would reportedly manufacture the devices for Apple.

Following a set pattern, this year the Apple iPhone 7 release date would most probably fall in September. The tech giant is yet to confirm the official release date of the most awaited iPhone 7 lineup.
