Apple's iPhone 6s might be regarded as one of the best iPhone models but it’s currently getting a lot of flak because of a surprising hardware problem. Its users have recently been up in arms and share a common complaint.

A number of iPhone 6s users have taken to the Internet to inform everyone about a particular problem that’s been bothering them and causing their devices to malfunction. Apparently, the unit's Touch ID button suddenly overheats for no reason, as reported by Tech Times.

This particular complaint has been submitted to Apple Discussions so the Cupertino-based tech giant can come up with a fix as soon as possible. Others, however, have taken to Twitter to voice their dismay.

Multiple iPhone 6s owners have pointed out that despite not using their smartphones at the time, the device's home button suddenly became too hot to touch. "Now, it will not work!" wrote one user. "Nothing else is hot - not even the charging port, just the home button is on fire. I have had the phone unplugged for an hour and the button is still on fire!"

Apparently, the problem occurs whenever users tend to hold down the Touch ID button for a while. Other iPhone 6s users, however, have pointed out their devices just crashed on their own and would switch off without any warning. The unit then no longer starts and the home button becomes very hot to touch.

One Apple user did come up with a temporary solution, though while Apple is hard at work at solving this problem. Apparently, holding down the power and home button together for around 10 seconds will get rid of the overheating Touch ID button.

Doing so will reset the device, however. It’s worth noting, though, this might work for a time, but constantly having to reset the device is an issue that shouldn’t have come with a smartphone that costs $650 or AU$908.93.
