AnTuTu, the highly popular smartphone benchmarking firm, has announced the top 10 smartphones of 2015 that delivers a topnotch performance. The list has revealed that a non-Android smartphone, the Apple iPhone 6S Plus with its octa-core processor, has triumphed over popular Android smartphones such as Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Google Nexus 6P and so on that are powered with an octa-core processor.
According to Gadgetz Arena, the Apple iPhone 6S Plus has the latest Apple A9 chipset onboard. It includes a dual-core 1.84 Twister processor, PowerVR GT7600 graphics and 2GB of RAM. It has the highest average score of 132,600 points.
The Huawei Mate 8 is at the second place with an average score of 92,746 points. The HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset is the homegrown SoC from Huawei. It features four cores of Cortex A72 processing a 2.3 GHz and remaining four cores working at 1.8 GHz coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It is interesting to note that the smartphones holding the top 2 spot in the list feature full HD resolution displays.
The Meizu Pro 5 features Samsung’s Exynos 7420 chipset that includes four cores of 1.5 GHz Cortex A53 processor and four cores of 2.1 GHz Cortex A57 processor, Mali-T760 MP8 graphics and 4GB of RAM. On AnTuTu, it has recorded an average score of 86,214 points.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with 83,354 points and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ with 82,087 points hold the fourth and fifth places, respectively. Both the smartphones are powered by Exynos 7420 that is present inside Meizu Pro 5. Also, both of them feature Quad HD resolution displays.
The iPhone 6 Plus, another iOS device that is powered by Apple A8 chipset’s 1.4 dual-core processor, holds the sixth position with an average score of 80,554 points. The seventh position has been secured by Snapdragon 810 powered OnePlus 2 with 79,747 points.
At the eighth position is the Letv 1 Pro smartphone that is powered by MediaTek Helio x10 chipset. The Xiaomi Note Pro also featuring Snapdragon 810 is placed at the ninth position with 78,903 points. The Google Nexus 6Pp also powered by Snapdragon 810 has managed to hold the last place in the top 10 list of best performance smartphones of 2015 by AnTuTu.
