Apple has been making headlines especially following expectations from analysts saying there could be three phone releases. According to a report from Yahoo News, it is possible that Apple will consider producing the iPhone 6S mini series if estimates top 10 million sales. More importantly, the tech giant may also consider going back to the 4-inch design format. TechStart Report author and CIO of Quantum Trading Strategies Sean Udall says: "The question is, do they make a 5S and a 5C-type phone or do they make a super powerful four-inch phone?"

He also adds: "In other words, do they make it with the same powerful specs as the new phones?"

Udall explains that Apple can take the other route and launch a four-inch device powerful enough should the company make it to 10 million units. He also notes that people wish to see upgraded versions of handset models. In such a way, Apple can release the expected series because it can produce the device easily. It is feasible on the company's part. Jeff Kagan, an analyst, shares the same views. He sees people getting thrilled over an upgraded four-inch handset. However, he is skeptical whether Apple will really consider it.

Kagan notes: "I imagine there will be a market for a phone that's the same size as the iPhone 5."

"But I can't see Apple doing it. Apple keeps the same-sized phone for two years, [then it] changes."

The Motley Fool believes that people may be in for three big updates in relation to the iPhone 6s. Following the release and success of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, demand for Apple's handsets remain high. However, this also places pressure on Apple to top its current handset offering. This means the company has to look for ways to boost other parts of its upcoming handset to sustain or appeal more to the market. The report cites the following three major updates people can expect from Apple: performance boost through better or bigger memory, huge camera technology leap and better functioning TouchID.

Apple has not released any details or comments about the iPhone 6S mini predictions.
