After Huawei's recent unveiling on the Ascend P2 as the fastest smart phone, excitement on Apple's upcoming iPhone 5S further builds up. The device enthusiasts are pondering on what the technology giant will offer to surpass the Chinese smart phone's features, specifications and release.

Design/Feature/Specification:

Reports suggest Apple will still use the iPhone 5 design for the upcoming iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 with only small changes inside the device. If the speculation is proven true, then iPhone 5s will sport a 7.6mm thin design weighing 112 grams with a 4-inch screen display size.

Apple's Retina Display looks promising for an enhanced iPhone 5S as well as the incorporation of a Sharp IGZO display. When Apple launches a new iPhone version, it releases a new iOS version as well to control the smart phone. There has been indications of an on-going creation of the iOS 7 so the upcoming iPhone 5S will most likely run on the latest Apple software.

On the other hand, Huawei Ascend P2 thickness design measures at 8.4 mm with a 4.7-inch 300 nits multi-touch screen display and a 315 ppi pixel density which is lower compared to the 326 ppi of the iPhone 5. The Chinese smart phone manufacturer confirmed that the screen display's Magic Touch technology can still allow the device users to access the smart phone while wearing hand gloves.

Release Dates:

When it comes to release dates, it is definitely a battle between Apple iPhone 5S and Huawei Ascend P2. The main question is: Which device will arrive first? Apple is anticipated to release the iPhone 5S and/or iPhone 6 between March and October 2013 while Huawei only managed to divulge the Ascend P2 release date some time on the second quarter of this year.
