Apple has never failed to launch an iPad Mini in the last four years except 2016. When the company released its flagship phones iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September, fans also expected the company to announce the Apple iPad Pro Mini 2016. However, Apple chose to remain silent on the device.

This, has naturally resulted in extensive speculations about the specs and features of the device and also whether Apple is planning to drop the Mini line altogether. Now Apple will be holding another event on Oct. 27 and fans are yet again excited. However, the upcoming Apple event will reportedly focus on the Apple MacBook Pro 2016.

A whole lot of rumours are suggesting numerous things about the Apple iPad Pro Mini 2016. Fans are expecting a change in the 7.9-inch display found in current Minis. The iPad Pro Mini could sport a large 10.5-inch display, writes iTech Post.

The Apple iPad Pro Mini is expected to be IP68 certified, making the handset dust and water-resistant. iPhone 6’s Touch ID feature may also make way into the device. If Apple decides to turn the iPad into iPad Pro, then an Apple Pencil is also a high possibility. The Apple iPad Pro Mini could run on Apple latest operating system, iOS 10.

The highly-anticipated 10.5-inch screen would stand between the 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pros. Many tech enthusiasts believe that apart from the display upgrade, there won’t be much to look forward to in the upcoming Apple iPad Pro Mini 2016. Fans are eager to hear from Apple as to its iPad Pro 2, iPad Pro Mini and also the iPad Mini 5.

Apple will most-likely stick to the removed 3.5mm headphone jack, reports TechAdvisor. No change in camera specs re expected. The iPad Pro Mini 2016 is expected to protected by an aluminium chassis. It may make the device thinner but more durable.
