Apple took the wraps off the 12.9-inch iPad Pro tablet on Sept. 9 and the device is available for purchase in selected countries from Nov. 11 onwards. Speaking of price, Gizmodo says the base version will cost $1,279 in Australia.

Optional accessories like Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard will set the buyers back by $159 and $269, respectively. For those planning to purchase this gigantic slate, here’s a list containing the top features of Apple iPad Pro.

Remarkable Display

Carrying a 12.9-inch screen, the Apple iPad Pro comes packed with a solid 2,732 x 2,048 pixels resolution. Because of the size of the display, however, the pixel strength is only 265 pixels per inch (PPI). It’s worth noting the higher the pixel strength or density, the brighter and livelier the display.

On the other hand, Apple reportedly said the display of the iPad Pro is much-sharper when compared to the MacBook with Retina on board. “With 5.6 million pixels, iPad Pro features the highest-resolution Retina display of any iOS device”, according to Apple.

Advanced Stylus

Speaking of a stylus, Samsung’s S Pen and Microsoft’s Surface Pen are the first that come to mind. Apple has now joined that bandwagon by introducing the “Pencil.”

The precision of Apple Pencil’s can beat any other digital stylus, according to Techno Buffalo. Thanks to the many sensors housed on board, the Pencil can better interpret “pressure-sensitivity”.

As it turns out, the sensitivity measurement accounts for the “pressure” and also the “angle” at which the stylus is used. Plus, an in-built “Lightning connector” on the slate can be used to charge the housed battery unit of the Apple Pencil by securing it into the iPad Pro.

Phenomenal Processor

Apple iPad Pro is powered by the latest A9X processor. Tech Buffalo says the A9X is reportedly “1.8 times” faster when compared to Apple’s A8X, which was last seen in the well-received iPad Air 2. This means any device housing this SoC guarantee faster processing, economical energy utilization and enriched graphics. If Apple’s words are to be believed, the iPad Pro’s processor can trump the desktops.

Improved Base Storage Capacity

In general, the base versions of Apple iPad models come with 16 GB native storage on board. The Apple iPad Pro, on the other hand, comes equipped with 32 GB of base storage. With the easy availability of 3G / 4G network connectivity guaranteeing phenomenal speed, downloading and uploading content has become a lot easier. Hence, increasing the base storage, especially because of the lack of microSD card slot for expansion, is a killer move.
