Apple has been silent about many of its products and that includes the iPad Pro 2. It did not make an appearance at the recent Apple event that left many iPad Pro fans disappointed. However, the fans have not lost hope and still expect a major overhaul to the iPad line-up in 2017.

With the Touch ID feature included in the Apple MacBook, it is kind of a hint that a host of exciting features may be coming to the Apple iPad Pro 2 when it releases in 2017. Some of the features expected in the device are Smart Connector, four speakers, True Tone Display and a 12MP primary iSight camera with True Tone flash.

As predicted by Japanese blog Mac Otakara, the iPad Pro 2 will come in three display variants, 7.9-inch, 10.1-inch and 12.9-inch and these will be out by spring 2017. As is the case with the newly launched iPhones, Apple will stick to its decision of dropping the 3.5mm headphone jack in favour of the EarPods. Some believe the Apple iPad Pro 2 will get quad microphones.

The 12.9-inch variant may feature a True Tone Display and also receive the advanced four-channel ambient light sensors that automatically change the intensity and colour of the display according to the lighting conditions prevailing in the surrounding, writes Mobile & Apps.

Tech experts have also predicted three new iPads in 2017 that would also include the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2, 10.5-inch iPad Pro and the budget-friendly 9.7-inch iPad. Apart from the updated features, the Apple iPad Pro 2 may also have an upgraded processor and more RAM power. An A10X processor and iOS 11 are expected.

The bigger models may sport 4GB RAM whereas the smaller ones may sport 3GB RAM. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on the Apple iPad Pro 2.
