Apple's release of the iOS 8 has brought a surge of adoption and mixed reactions. As with any mobile OS update, users both praise and complain about the latest software. Apple's iPhone 6 success did not make it immune to iOS 8 problems with people pointing out Bluetooth and iCloud issues among others.

Apple's launches have been plagued with both highs and lows. Following the "bendgate" scandal, the iOS 8 is now faced with a number of grievances from users. According to Forbes, Apple started October on a controversial note. Apple's sudden release of the iOS 8.0.1 and iOS 8.0.2 has been considered disastrous. Apple Support Forums and MacRumors point out the piling complaints about the system's Bluetooth connectivity problems.

According the reports, users are having trouble connecting their devices and components like headsets, keyboards and car audio through the Bluetooth connection. Other issues cited connected to the Bluetooth problem include partial connection without audio, refusal to connect and disconnection due to calls. The complaints have been coming from iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and previous iPhone model owners.

The multitude of iOS 8-related problems has also been linked to the slower adoption of the iOS 8. According to CIO Today, the situation can be considered alarming as the iOS 8 adoption has considerably slowed it almost appears at a standstill.

Mixpanel analytics suggest that in two weeks, iOS 8 adoption only went up by 1 percent. It has been around three weeks since the release of the mobile OS but only 47 percent of iPhone and iPad users have switched to it. Six days following the September 17 release, the adoption was only at 46 percent. Forbes also noted that car systems suffered mostly from the iOS 8 connection problems. Some companies reportedly having trouble with the connection and their cars include Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford and Lexus.

Crave Online also noted that the iCloud bug may render some user data and files lost. Fortunately, there are workarounds the current iOS problems. For data lost, there is no retrieving the contents. Nonetheless, Apple Support can help retrieve contents lost according to users. As for the Bluetooth fix, reset is the next best fix. Go to General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Make sure to back up all files.
