Apple had already confirmed the iOS 7 release date on Sept 18 as free software for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

"iOS 7 is completely redesigned with an entirely new user interface and over 200 new features, so it's like getting a brand new device, but one that will still be instantly familiar to our users. Next month we'll be shipping our 700 millionth iOS device, and we're excited about what our hundreds of thousands of iOS developers are doing to bring great new features to their apps," according to Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering.

According to the official press release from Apple, the iOS 7 has 200 new features available.

However, according to an article from Gottabemobile, Apple is not being totally honest about the iOS 7 Gold Master version or the final release version.

As tested, the iOS 7 final release version has ten annoying features that Apple was being discreet about:

1. Parallax effect

The parallax effect of the iOS 7 gives the home screen the 3D look. Moving the device around, the app icons seemed to move around with the device. But, this feature decreases the battery life and users might just opt to have it turned off ( Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion) which made the Parallax effect senseless.

2. Non-Customisable Control Center

This feature fails to customise what is being shown in the Control Center. This makes the 3G/4G toggle missing and makes users opt for the Bluetooth instead.

3. Vague Weather Info in Notification Center

The weather information with the iOS 7 has no graphic and does not tell user of the current temperature.

4. Home Button Still Doesn't Really Take You Home

Just like any other version of the iOS, Apple, still did not make an improvement with its Home Button. The iOS 7 Home Button will have to be pressed twice from a folder to go back to the home screen.

5. The White/Yellow Theme in the Notes App

Apple iOS 7 selling point is its redesigned and attractive new look. However, the Notes app looks bland with the combination of the colours white and yellow.

6. Spotlight Search is Hidden

In the previous versions of iOS, the Spotlight Search is accessible. But with the iOS 7, users need to swipe down in the middle of the home screen to get the Spotlight Search.

7. "Tap to Post" Social Widget in Notification Center is Gone

This feature is all gone with the final version of the iOS 7.

8. Confusing Shift Key Highlight

Apple made an all new design with the iOS 7 keyboard. But the innovation resulted with the filled-in version of the keyboard blending in with the rest of the keyboard's theme.

9. Still No Way to Leave a Group iMessage

Apple users know very well that it is annoying not to be able to leave a group conversation when wanting to avoid unwanted messages. But, still, iOS 7 does not give users the option to leave a group iMessage.

10. Do Not Disturb Still Doesn't Play Nice with Third-Party Alarm Clock Apps

iOS 7 automatically silences alarm clocks from a thrid-party app. The users will have to turn off his or her cell radio, WiFI or data on to use an alarm clock from a third-party app.

Meanwhile, Apple already excludes Siri as a beta product for iOS 7.

"Siri is available on iPhone 4s or later, iPad with Retina display, iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation) and requires Internet access. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area. Cellular data charges may apply, " according to a statement from Apple.
